Recycled Cotton Yarn

Gap Navy Vest

I can't say for sure if it's the warm weather that's making me like cotton yarn so much right now, but the more I knit with it, the more I realize it's efficiency. How can this much cotton be so light?

This fingering weight yarn I recycled from an unworn vest is a luxuriously rich navy blue. Another welcome addition to my yarn stash.

  1. The yarn has a beautiful sheen, well done! I'm not sure if I have the patience to try this, there is local charity shop that sells lovely pure wool sweaters, but I haven't found anthing I'd like to try this out on, yet.
Any idea what these skeins will be turned into? :)

  2. Thanks! I think the big trade-off is time when it comes to recycling sweaters, but the payoff is like a jackpot.

I've been swatching it up today, and poking around for a pattern. Not really sure yet. Hmm...
